After I lost my job, I felt like I had no purpose and decided to create something meaningful to bring that feeling back into my life. Since money was tight, I looked around my house and found items such as wine corks, bottle caps, and recycled glass, and decided to use materials I already had to create my art. The idea took flight from making simple pieces just for family and friends and developed into an Etsy store. Now, CandyLamps aims to provide people with environmentally friendly and unique alternatives for home accessories, while also being a vehicle for self-expression and a personal sense of style. I hope that the sense of purpose that CandyLamps gave me during that hard time will carry through to the homes of others to brighten their lives.
